Do any of the major associations have a Historian? If not, does anyone know who might be a good de facto historian on all aspects of polygraph? Right now, I think there's a bunch of scattered info, but we need somebody to organize what we have. Just this morning I got a bunch of scanned documents in my inbox. I don't have time to read them now, but I understand there's a lot there, and somebody needs to put what we know together. If somebody came up with a good plan, I can ask the APA for some funding. It wouldn't be much, I'm sure, but we may be able to get them to fund the costs associated with gathering the info. I got a little bit of funding to get some of our "pioneers" on the record (A/V recordings). The APA has some tapes of some already. We need somebody to review those, catalog them somehow and transfer them to DVD. IP: Logged |

Barry,That sounds like a great idea, but like all others, it takes real people to do them. The problem is that the folks who are here talking about this are the ones doing a majority of the work in addition to their 'job'. However, if there was some structure & authority put to the task, I'd be more than happy to try and recruit volunteers for the actual hands on work. Just let me know if something develops and a contact person and I'll help get the word out. Ted, thanks for the leads. Terry Ball was on my list to talk to, but I think the majority of his work is instrumentation. I will give Chris a call as well. If anyone can think of contact points for the other areas (law, research, techniques, theories, psychology, physiology, etc) that would be great. thanks. ------------------ Ralph Hilliard PolygraphPlace Owner & Operator Be sure to visit our new store for all things Polygraph Related http://store.polygraphplace.com IP: Logged |

Ralph,I have Leonarde Keeler's original Stanford University Yearbook. When I bought it, it came with several original photos and articles including an original obiturary. I would be happy to share this material with the "historian". Alan Teschendorf at the ISP is an examiner with an extensive collection of photos and polygraph related articles. He would get my vote for the job! Ted IP: Logged |

Ted,Yes, I'd like to see the yearbook..I'll coordinate offline as to how we might pull that off. As for Alan, sounds great. In my world ISP stands for Internet Service Provider. Can you give a bit more guidance on how to locate him....
